Why subscribe?

Why? So we can talk about things. Creativity, movies, music, people, life.

And because it’s free. I don’t currently put any content here behind a paywall, and I’ve always distributed my podcast (which just hit a million listens across all platforms) without advertisements. MindFog: A Fallout 4 Diary is a derivative work, and I never felt right marketing it as a product for fans to support financially. It was really just my writing playground.

I’m hoping this Substack will be a variation on that and that it will be a place for my writing to improve and for me to learn and grow as a writer. There are so many other writers and artists I follow here whose work I admire, and I hope that MindFog will grow to be part of the collective experiment on this platform. I’d love to be in conversation with more of you, not just about Fallout or the MindFog podcast, but about the creative process in general.

Comments are open at this time, and I intend to keep them open. The people who have supported my podcast so far have always been wonderfully positive folks, and I’m deeply grateful for the past and future support, through just an email or through helping to finance the podcast’s web hosting or upgraded recording equipment through my former Patreon (which I will be starting up again soon, but mostly for upcoming projects).

Just my diary. If you were also a rural kid with "potential" who moved to the big city to pursue their dreams and ended up in dead-end suburbia, you might find something here. Maybe we can help each other find redemption in our 3rd Act?
